Paint for a Cause at Hampton Art Space

The Hampton Bays Middle School builder's club hopes the fundraiser will help generate funds for a school greenhouse.

The near two-year-old Hampton Art Space on Main Street in Hampton Bays is hosting an ongoing fundraiser for the Hampton Bays School District's Builder's Club where customers can paint for a cause.

According to Jacqueline Maloney, owner of Hampton Art Space, from now until January 31, anyone can stop in and paint a soup bowl for $15. The painted bowls will then be donated to the Builder's Club, which will sell them at their Soup & Sundae Fundraising event, set for Feb. 12, 2014.

The Builder's Club is hoping to use the money garnered through the fundraising event toward an on going Greenhouse project at the middle school where students and community members can grow their own crops.
