'Other Desert Cities' Opens Thursday in Quogue

The show kicks-off the community theatre's 29th season.

The Hampton Theatre Company will open its 29th season with a performance on 'Other Desert Cities' on Thursday.

The production, according to the theatre company, which operates out of Quogue Community Hall on Jessup Avenue, "is a about a family gathering at which the imminent publishing of an explosive memoir threatens to tear the family apart."

The show, written by Jon Robin Baitz, has been deemed "richly enjoyable," by the New York Times.

It stars Diana Marbury as Polly Wyeth; Morgan Vaughan as Brooke Wyeth;
Graig Braun as Lyman Wyeth; Ian Bell as Trip Wyeth and Vay David as Silda Grauman and is directed by Sarah Hunnewell.

The show will run October 24 through November 10 with curtains opening on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00 p.m.; Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for adults; $23 for seniors (except Saturday performances) and $10 for students under 21.
