Oct. 31: Halloween Trick or Treating, a Pumpkin Trail and an Art Exhibit

Enjoy the day and have a Happy Halloween.

It's Halloween. Take the kids out and have some fun, but be careful. There are Halloween safety tips that are good to remember every year.  There's also Bridge at the library today and an exhibit at Guild Hall. Have a Happy Halloween.

Sunday's Five:

1.     Bridge anyone? Join your friends at the Hampton Bays Library for an afternoon game of bridge beginning at 1:00 p.m.  For more information on other library programs, call (631) 728-6241.

2.     If you're so inclined, why not head over to Guild Hall for an exhibition that runs from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. winner of the 70th Annual Guild Hall Artist Members Exhibition 2008 Part I is on display today and on select dates through November. The cost is $7 per person. For more information call (631) 324-4050.         

3.     Join a Rag-a-Muffin Parade and Pumpkin Trail with the kids.  The kids can show off their costumes during the parade on Main Street in Sag Harbor.  The fun begins at 12:00 p.m.  After the parade, kids can trick or treat at village businesses until 4:00 p.m. For more information, call the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce at (631) 725-0011.

4.     If you're going somewhere and you need transportation, the bus is available. The Town of Southampton Essential Services/Handicapped Transportation Program is designed to aid homebound persons and non-driving residents of the township with transportation to & from such basic essential services as shopping, banking, non-emergency medical visits, visits to governmental agencies, and hospital visitation of a sick spouse. Advance reservations are required. Suggested contribution $2.00 round trip. For more information, call (631) 728-1110.

5.     There are a few tips to remember for a safe and fun Halloween. Here are some Halloween Safety Tips. Always have your kids carry flashlights if they're trick or treating at night and always go around with them if they're little and going into someone's house.  Make sure they won't trip on their costumes and inspect their candy before you let they eat it. Have a fun and safe Halloween.
