The Hampton Bays Civic Association will be hosting one of two debates for candidates running this November on Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Senior Center on Ponquogue Avenue.
This first debate will feature candidates for Southampton town clerk, and town justice as well as the candidates for Suffolk County Legislator and Southampton Town Trustees seats.
During the debate, the civic association will pose a number of questions to the candidates and then open the floor to questions from the audience.
"This year, in these uncertain times, it is more important than ever before that you are conversant with the philosophies, perceptions, and intentions of the men and women you empower with public office," stated the chamber.
The second debate will take place in October, expected to participate will be candidates for Southampton Town supervisor and board.
