The threat of rising sea levels on coastal communities, like Southampton is a discussion that Southampton Trustee Eric Shultz said is one that needs to happen.
Rising sea levels affects property, beach access rights and the town's economy.
That is the reason, Shultz said the Trustees have teamed up with filmmaker Ben Kalina, who will present his documentary on sea level rise and the problems that coastal communities face on Sept. 21 at Southampton High School at 7:00 p.m.
"I believe that this film will kick start the discussion that has to take place in this community so we can address the conflicts of protection of property and the peoples right to use the beach which is the economic engine of this town," said Shultz, who hope to fill all 900 seats in the auditorium.
