Hurricane Party At Area Pub

Finn McCools declares itself a 'hurricane shelter,' Casey's Cancels its Party.

A hurricane isn’t going to stop one area watering hole from keeping the beer flowing. 

With Hurricane Irene pounding down the East Coast, in Westhampton Beach says they will be open with a full kitchen and bar service all day and night. They will even be featuring a DJ and a guest bartender.

On their Facebook Page, Finn McCool’s posted, “We are an ‘official hurricane evacuation’ shelter.”

The bar is also saying that anyone who brings in a generator can drink for free all weekend long.

“We need a few so we can keep Westhampton drunk and full,” says Finn McCool’s Facebook Page.

in Westhampton Beach, which was planning a hurricane party, has cancelled their event.

Earlier, the bar put a sign out saying that it will host a party until the “storm closes us down,” however, its owner opted to instead board up.

A man who answered the phone at the popular nightspot said, “We decided not to do it because of the weather and a lack of participation.”
