Horse Shoe Tourney Saturday Raises Money for Keith Greene's Kids

Known as KGrease, 35-year-old died in 2012.

Head to North Sea on Saturday to remember Keith Greene, a 35-year-old Hampton Bays residents who died last year, and raise money for his children.

The second annual Keith Sea Greene Invitational Pig Roast & Horse Shoe Tournament takes place at the North Sea Fireman’s Athletic Field, behind the North Sea Community House on Noyac Road, from noon to 8 p.m.

Greene, who grew up in Southampton, died at a Southampton Village beach on Aug. 15, 2012. Known as KGrease to friends, worked at Schmidt's in the village and in North Sea, and was once a competitor on the second season of "Hell's Kitchen."

The event, which raises money for Green's children, Avery and Aiden Sea Greene, is packed with lots of activities. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. There will be a "bouncy land" for kids, music by DJ Biggie, DJ Cred, and a special appearance from Dollarman, a reggae artist. Food will be served, and there will be a Chinese and silent auction, as well as a 50/50 raffle.

Admission is $40 per person and $10 extra to play in the tournament. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.

Those who attend and post pictures to Instagram are asked to use the hashtag "kgrease," which can be seen on the Keith Greene Memorial site via an Instagram gallery feed.
