Former Hampton Bays Football Player Says Athletic Staff, Superintendent Should Resign
A former Hampton Bays High School football player is calling on Hampton Bays football coaches, the district's superintendent and athletic director to resign. He also wants them to publicly apologize.

Disabled Motorist Killed, Another Person Injured in Eastport Hit-and-Run
A woman was killed and a man was injured during a hit-and-run accident in Eastport. Erika Strebel and her companion Edward Barton were standing near Strebel’s disabled 1988 Jeep on the shoulder of the eastbound lane when they were struck by a vehicle that was travelling east on Montauk Highway, according to police.

1 North Steakhouse Preparing New Location
The sign may still say Ciao Bella Senhora, but the building has undergone a total face lift as the property is soon to become the new home of 1 North Steakhouse

Work Begins On New Hampton Bays Restaurant
According to owner and newly trained chef Ed Hilinski, the Good Ground will serve classic American comfort food, such as burgers and steaks. A small bar will be installed, and perhaps a small TV mounted behind the bar, but Hilinski said he isn’t targeting the sports bar crowd.

Coast Guard Completes 35-Hour Rescue Mission
On Nov. 9, nearly 35 hours after an initial distress call, the Coast Guard towed a disabled fishing vessel 69 miles back to Shinnecock Inlet.

Sydney's of Westhampton Beach Looking to Move to New Location
Sydney's "Taylor" Made Cuisine of Westhampton Beach may soon have a new location.  According to a sign in the Main Street eatery's window, the business will be relocating at the end of next  month.

Hampton Bays Mom Keeps Son's Memory Alive Through Annual Toy Drive
In the years since her son's death, AnneMarie McKinnon, of Hampton Bays, has not wavered mission to keep her son's memory alive by donating toys to kids in need. 

This year, like in year's past, McKinnon is once again holding a toy drive, aiming to collected hundreds of toys to hand out to kids who are either in need or seriously ill in her son's name.

Man Appealing Murder Conviction of Hampton Bays Resident
A Farmingville man previously convicted of killing a Hampton Bays man in 2010 is currently appealing his case with his attorneys saying he did not get a fair trial.

Town May Only Partially Preserve Neptune's Property
The Town of Southampton may not purchase the 2.8-acre Dune Road night-club Neptune's for $3.2 million. At an public hearing held in November on the possible purchase, Southampton Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst announced that the town is in discussions with community members about another plan that could result in the re-use of the Neptune's building as a restaurant. 

Hampton Bays Civic Members on CPI: We Want Waterfront Access
One thing was clear after over 120 Hampton Bays Civic members took a poll on what should happen with the western and eastern canal properties surrounding Canoe Place Inn: Civic members want waterfront access.
