The show will open on Jan. 9. at Quogue Community Hall.

Continuing its 29th season, the Hampton Theater Company is set to present, Heroes, with the curtain opening on Jan. 9.

The show will run through January 26 at the Quogue Community Hall on Jessup Avenue with showtimes set for Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00 p.m., Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. , and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

Written by Tom Stoppard, Heroes, according to the company, features three high-spirited World War I veterans, who are confined to an old soldiers home. They seek to rise above their predicament.

The veterans are played by actors who have taken the Hampton Theater stage in the past, including Tom Gustin, who played Starbuck in “The Rainmaker;" George Loizides, who had roles in “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “Bedroom Farce;" and Cyrus Newitt, who played the ghost of the protagonist's father in A. R. Gurney’s “Black Tie."

Directing Heroes is Andrew Botsford, last seen on the Quogue stage in Alan Ayckbourn’s “How the Other Half Loves."
