Hampton Bays Student Advances in MSG Varsity's Talent Show

Elizabeth Lowry will compete again on Sunday.

has advanced to the second round in MSGs Varsity's Talent Show, which airs on Cablevision's iO Channel 14 on Sundays at 6 p.m.

Lowry, who was selected for the competition along with 32 other singers, dancers and musical groups on May 8, competed for the semifinals on May 15 and with a tremendous amount of support from online voters, Lowry advanced to the next round and will sing on Sunday for a chance to advance to the next round.

Of her win last Sunday, Lowry, whose mom secretly entered her in the contest, said, “Honestly, it came as a shock to me. I come from a really small town and my school doesn’t have that many kids in it.  I guess a good thing about being from a small town is that everyone knows everyone else, and they always pull together for one of their own."
