Good Ground Cemetery

Good Ground Cemetery, which sits behind United Methodist Church on Main Street in Hampton Bays, is a beautiful, expansive burial ground that dates back to the 1800s.  It is the largest cemetery in Hampton Bays and is tended to by members of the Good Ground Cemetery Association.  The first stone was placed in the cemetery around 1827.  The cemetery is the final resting place for generations of Hampton Bays residents and families from the past and the present.
