Garden Festival Opens Thursday
All proceeds will benefit the Peconic Bay Medical Center.
The 18th annual Garden Festival in Westhampton Beach will be open for business on Thursday morning.
Held on the Great Lawn, the festival benefits the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.
A variety of perennials and annuals will be available, ranging in price, from $5 to $50, Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, volunteers from the Westhampton and Remsenburg Garden Clubs, along with hospital staff, were busy setting up the festival under a big tent with more flowers arriving by the minute.
The shrubs, plants and flowers for sale are all donated by local North and South Fork growers.
And for anyone still looking for a Mother's Day gift, festival staff said they will have a spectacular assortment of orchids for sale.
