The Westhampton Beach Fire Department was called to Goldberg's Deli's in Westhampton Beach for a basement fire on Sunday afternoon.

According to the fire department, the department was called when workers noticed smoke coming from the floor of the deli.

Fire Department volunteers arrived at the scene at around 12:30 and determined that fire was a coming from under a bagel cooking vat. The floor was pulled up and the fire department was able to put the fire out.

Fire officials were on the scene for about two hours.


The Southampton Town Fire Marshal is nvestigating.
