Event Preview: Workout Like a Dog; Raise Money for a Cause

This event will take place on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation has teamed up with Hampton CrossFit to help raise money for The Playing For Life Program, which was created by the Southampton Animal Shelter's director of training and Behavior, Aimee Sadler.

The program, the shelter said aims to "show how doggie playgroups improve behavior and socialization of shelter dogs, making them more adoptable and reducing their stress levels in a kennel environment."

On Saturday, from 8 a.m .to 11 a.m., CrossFit, located at 375 County Road 39, Southampton, will provide a workout to anyone who donates to the cause.

Donations are $25 for adults; $15 children.

The event, which is part of a larger national fundraiser where gyms across the country are participating with the help of WOD for dogs, to raise money for Playing for Life, will also feature door prizes.

To participate on Saturday, call Crossfit at 631-566-6518, or to donate, please Click here.
