Hampton Bays Cub Scout Pack #483 is hosting a recruitment at Anderson Warner Hall, located next to the Methodist Church in Hampton Bays, at 6:30 p.m on Tuesday evening.
At the free event, boys, 6 and up, will be treated to movie and popcorn.
Parents wishing to sign their sons up for boy scouting, can do so at that time. The cost for annual registration is $85 and the pack meets two times a month at Anderson Warner Hall.
Also at the event, the scouts will receive wooden sailboat kits an upcoming Sailboat Regatta event.
"Scouting has been around a long time. It teaches children how to be prepared, leadership, survival skills, community awareness and lots more. They do wonderful things for the community from clean ups, to service projects," said Heather Haynia, head fundraising Chairperson, who said she hopes to see some new faces on Tuesday.
