Devastated Girlfriend Mourns DWI Victim

Through tears, Talia Rosmarin says she will play her guitar at vigil planned for 8 p.m. at East Quogue Park.

Talia Rosmarin, the longtime girlfriend of , who lost his life on Sunday night in a tragic crash, said he had everything to live for.

“He was only eighteen. It wasn’t his time,” she said.

Sobbing, Rosmarin said Nicholls, who graduated Westhampton Beach High School on the day he died and was headed for Dean College, always wanted to live his life to the fullest.

“He didn’t want to waste any time. He was always happy, smiling and laughing and found great joy in making other people smile,” she said of Nicholls, who worked at Hampton Watersports as a windsurfing instructor.

Rosmarin said the young man that she loved had dedicated the song, Just a Dream by Nelly to her and heartbroken friends are planning to keep Nicholls’ memory alive by having T-shirts made up with the lyrics to the song on the back.  The front of the t-shirt she said, will say Rest in Peace.

Inconsolable, Rosmarin said she is finding comfort and strength from her tight circle of friends.  She said she intends to play her guitar at a vigil planned for 8 p.m. at East Quogue Park.
