Can You Identify This Historical Photo?

The Hampton Bays Historical Society digs into its archives.

Each week, we will feature a local historical photo from the archives of the  and ask readers to guess what is pictured, the date the photo was taken and/or what is there today.

Last week's photo, according to Brenda Berntson, was of the old wooden school located on Ponquogue Ave next to the existing brick columned building. It was demolished in the 1960s.

Yes, its Carl and Jack's on Ponquogue Avenue, now owned by Jack.

No, it's Thompson's Super Market, where the Southampton Town Hall annex is now, First owned by the Greenberg's later owned by Lenny and Irwin Thompson. Everyone in town at the time seemed to work there at one time or another.

I agree with Alfred. It was Greenberg's, then Thompson's, then King Kullen, and now it is where the Town Hall Annex is, across from the Post Office.
