Bideawee Pet of the Week: Max Needs Some Valentine's Day Love

Bideawee of Westhampton has a number of pets available for adoption.

This week, of Westhampton is looking to find a home for Max, a sweet, but shy and nervous, three-year-old Chihuahua mix.

According to Deanna Murphy, the client care coordinator for Bideawee, Max was rescued him from a high-kill municipal shelter.

"Max is very timid at first and it takes him some time to trust you, but once he knows that you are gentle, he loves to play and will cuddle," Murphy said. "Max is sensitive though and doesn’t like to be touched on his paws, ears, and mouth; it makes him very nervous.  He is seeking a patient and dedicated home, who understands his needs, will respect his space and will continue to socialize him, appropriately build up his confidence and teach him that he doesn’t always have to protect his valuables."

Max, says Murphy would be best in a home with children over 12.

The adoption fee for Max is $150. All of Bideawee’s pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Bideawee’s pets receive socialization, exercise, behavioral training and other daily activities that let the staff get to know each animal's special personality to make the best match.
