Bideawee Pet of the Week: Katie Is On Her Own

This week Bideawee of Westhampton is looking to find a home for Katie, a a beautiful, sweet 12-year-old Persian mix.

According to Deanna Murphy, the client care coordinator for Bideawee, Katie came to Bideawee with her mom and her feline friend, after the unfortunate passing of their loving owner.

"Her mother and friend were both adopted into loving homes and now Katie is on her own for the first time in a while," Murphy said. "She can be a bit shy at first, but once she gets to know you and you earn her trust, she can be very loving."

Murphy says Katie would be best in a quiet home with children over 12, who can supply her with the patience and love she deserves.  A sunlit spot on a nice soft couch wouldn’t hurt either.

The adoption fee for Katie is $150. All of Bideawee’s pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Bideawee’s pets receive socialization, exercise, behavioral training and other daily activities that let the staff get to know each animal's special personality to make the best match.
