Bideawee Pet of the Week: Honey

Bideawee has some loving pets available for adoption.

This week is looking to find a home for Honey, an adoring 10-year-old gray and white Domestic Shorthair cat

According to Deanna Murphy, the client care coordinator for Bideawee, Honey arrived at Bideawee after an employee rescued her.

"Before coming to our adoption center, Honey had lived her entire life in the cramped quarters of a small area, which was no larger than the size of a closet," said Murphy. "For nearly a decade, she was kept there and was not afforded the love and care that all animals need and deserve.

Murphy says despite her past, Honey is genuinely a sweet and mellow cat, who would love nothing more than some quiet companionship.

"The more she gets to know you, the more loving and out-going she becomes," said Murphy.

The adoption fee for Honey is $150. All of Bideawee’s pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Bideawee’s pets receive socialization, exercise, behavioral training and other daily activities that let the staff get to know each animal's special personality to make the best match.

To adopt Honey or any other animal, call the Adoption Center at 631-325-0200 or visit them at 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton.
