Bideawee Pet of the Week

Bideawee has some loving pets available for adoption.

This week Bideawee of Westhampton is looking to find a home for Wesley, a eight-month-old hound mix.

According to Deanna Murphy, the client care coordinator for Bideawee, Wesley came to Bideawee after we rescued him from a high-kill municipal shelter.

"Wesley loves to meet new people, but he can be a bit submissive and shy, if he is approached too forwardly," said Murphy. "However, it doesn’t take long to earn his trust.  Once he knows you’re gentle and kind, he’ll be you’re best friend."

Murphy says as a puppy, Wesley loves to exercise and play and needs to continue to learn the basic puppy ropes; such as socialization, positive handling, appropriate confidence building, housebreaking, and obedience.  He also needs help learning how to trade his favorite items, as he can be mildly protective over bones.

The adoption fee for Wesley is $150. All of Bideawee’s pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Bideawee’s pets receive socialization, exercise, behavioral training and other daily activities that let the staff get to know each animal's special personality to make the best match.
