Bideawee Pet of the Week: Arnold is Fun and Playful

This week, Bideawee of Westhampton is looking to find a home for Arnold, a handsome, seven-month-old Labrador retriever mix.  He arrived at after he was rescued along with a few of his friends from a high-kill municipal shelter.

According to Deanna Murphy, the client care coordinator for Bideawee, Arnold is a playful, high-energy adolescent, who is seeking an experienced, dog-savvy, and loving home.

"Since he is a young man, he still needs to be taught basic obedience, such as positive handling exercises, house-breaking, how to use his mouth properly, appropriate confidence building, and lots of socialization with new people, places, and other pets.," Murphy said. "But Arnold is a quick learner, looking for a family who is willing to teach him."

 Arnold, says Murphy is also a little protective of his bones and needs a home that is willing to teach him how to share.

The adoption fee for Arnold is $150. All of Bideawee’s pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Bideawee’s pets receive socialization, exercise, behavioral training and other daily activities that let the staff get to know each animal's special personality to make the best match.
