Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing at Gabreski

Airport Manager says hydraulic problem forced the aircraft to land.

A Gulfstream 5 Corporate Jet  declared an emergency and landed at Gabreski Airport in Westhampton around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to airport manager Anthony Ceglio.

Ceglio said the craft was heading to Islip's MacArthur Airport from Dekalb, Georgia, when the pilot noticed something wasn't right with the plane's hydraulic system.

"They indicated they needed to land," said Ceglio, who said that the Gulfstream, which is a large corporate jet, landed without incident.
