Adopt Junior, an Australian Shepherd Mix

This week, the is looking to find a home for Junior, an Australian Shepherd mix.

Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, said Junior is one of the dogs that the Southampton Animal Shelter recently rescued from a Georgia kill-shelter.  

"He’s a little shy, but warms up once he gets to know you," Bambrick said. "He’s very unique looking with one blue and one brown eye."

Because of his shyness, Bambrick says a family with older children would be best to adopt Junior.

If Junior is not the type of pet you are looking for, there are plenty of other animals that need love and care, including many cats.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees range from $40 to $60 for a cat and $60 to $125 for a dog.
