Adopt Beau, an Orange and White Longhair or Travis, a Domestic Shorthair

The Southampton Animal Shelter and Bideawee have some loving animals for adoption.

This week, both Bideawee of Westhampton and the of Hampton Bays have special pets available for adoption.

Bideawee is looking to find a home for Travis, a two-year-old domestic shorthair cat.

According to Amy Hraniotis, event manager for Bideawee, Travis came to Bideawee after being abandoned at a local veterinarian. He arrived at Bideawee with his jaw wired from a previous injury. The wiring has since been removed and he lives in Bideawee's Kitty Cat Habitat copping with some limited mobility of his jaw.

"Travis loves everyone he meets and wants nothing more than to be pet and loved.  Even after the rough start to his life, he is still one of the most loving cats you will ever meet." said Hraniotis

The adoption fee for Travis is $150 and all Bideawee adopter’s receive a free, one-on-one training session and a free visit at the Westhampton Bideawee Veterinary Practice.  To adopt Travis or any other animal, call the Adoption Center at 631-325-0200 or visit them at 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton.

According to Hraniotis, all of Bideawee’s pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.  Bideawee’s pets receive socialization, exercise, behavior training and other daily activities that let our staff get to know each animal's special personality, so that we can make the best match for you.

Over at the Southampton Animal Shelter, Donald Bambrick, animal shelter supervisor says the shelter is looking to find a home for Beau, a 5-year-old orange and white longhair.

Bambrick said Travis is "a very friendly, handsome guy."

According to Bambrick, Beau's owner recently gave him up to the shelter because there was no time for him in a house with a new baby.

"Beau is a real people cat and loves to cuddle," said Bambrick.

If Beau is not the type of pet you are looking for, there are plenty of other animals that need love and care.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees range from between $40 and $60 for a cat and $60 and $125 for a dog.

To adopt Beau or any of the other animals available for adoption, call the shelter at 631-728-7387 or visit 102 Old Riverhead Rd in Hampton Bays.
