5 Things You Can’t Do in Westhampton-Hampton Bays

There’s plenty of things you can do in Westhampton-Hampton Bays, but there are a few you can’t.

You may be familiar with Patch's list of Taking a different tack, here is a list of "5 Things You CAN'T Do in Westhampton-Hampton Bays." Have more to add? Leave a comment below.

1. Stay Sober at the Boardy Barn: It’s hard not to drink when spending a Sunday at the with its $1 beers and smiley stickers. Just be sure to keep a local taxi driver's number close at hand.

2. Pass up jelly donuts at the Beach Bakery: Tantalizing aromas wafting from from this local treasure make it impossible to walk past and not go inside for a treat.

3. Finder a cheaper date night out:  On Tuesdays the Hamptons Arts Cimema in Westhampton Beach offers bargain Tuesdays with movie showing for $4.

4. Drive Without Seeing a Police Officer in Quogue: Drive five feet at night in Quogue and you will be sure to meet a friendly Quogue police officer.

5. Watch Jaws: It might prevent you from a visit to a area beach where are likely to be out enjoying themselves.

This inspired me to think of the 5 Things You Can't Do At The Hampton Synagogue This Summer: 1. Stay Sober at the Martini Bar: It's the most popular station at the lavish kiddush receptions that follow Saturday morning services (12:00noon), but it's always worth the wait. 2. Pass up the Beach Bakery cookies and treats at the THS Author Discussion Series, each Thursday evening, 7:30pm. The cookies are free, and you get to hear great speakers including Jennifer Griffin (FOX News), Greg Myre (NY Times), Cokie Roberts (NPR), Martin Fletcher (MSNBC), Lucette Lagnado (WSJ), Marilyn Berger (CBS) and more! 3. Find a cheaper date night out than the THS Film Festival, each Monday night at 7:30pm. Admission is free (ever wonder about those lines?), and the films are great! 4. Drive *anywhere* on Saturday - with each weekend featuring all the meals you can eat, inspiring services, interesting speakers, and distinguished visiting dignitaries, there's barely time to go home anyway - and why would you even want to? 5. Watch Jaws: After all, after the weekly Sunday morning softball game, the beach beckons!

Really, after a local youth dies in a dwi car accident you are bashing the quogue police. What a joke this site is.....
