5 Things to Know: Outdoor Concerts Sound Better

Well, maybe not, but the season for listening outdoors won't last forever.

The summer means a lot of things, from cold treats to days on the beach. But add the outdoor summer concert to those delights and you’ve rounded out the summer experience.

So for Tuesday’s "5 Things," here are five performances that are on the horizon.

1. This Tuesday, the Sag Harbor Community Band at 8 p.m. The ensemble performs popular medleys of show tunes and other classics every Tuesday.

2. Also on Tuesday, Westhampton Beach Kids on the Green will perform “Squeaky Clean: Rock n’ Roll for Kids” at the Westhampton Beach Village Green, a free concert performing hits from the 50s and the 60s.

3. Looking ahead to Thursday, acoustic rock group Chiron Red will perform hits from the 60s on the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

4. While not technically outdoors, the surrounding property at Riverhead’s Martha Clara Vineyards earns their a spot on this list. The music kicks off at 7 p.m.
