UPDATED: 140 Homes Still Without Power In Westhampton-Hampton Bays

Previous: Almost two weeks after Superstorm Sandy ravaged Suffolk County, leaving thousands in the dark and without heat -- as of Sunday night, 17,053 were still without power county wide, according to the Long Island Power Authority power outage map.

In the Westhampton-Hampton Bays area, there were 141 homes still without power on Sunday night.

Shivering in cold homes, residents were next hit with a nor'easter that blanketed Long Island.

On Saturday, County Executive Steve Bellone said he'd had enough of LIPA and was cutting ties with headquarters and relying on local resources to get power back to stranded residents.
