100 Things to Do: #70: Go Fishing at the Quogue Village Dock [VIDEO]
The dock has a gazebo, a flag pole, plenty of benches and a sturdy new dock overlooking an expanse of Quantuck Bay.
The village of Quogue is pedestrian and bike friendly. And any morning in the summer you will find a mini pilgrimage toward the Quogue
Village Dock at the end of Quogo Neck Lane. The dock has a gazebo, a flag pole, plenty of benches and a sturdy new dock overlooking an expanse of Quantuck Bay.
One morning local Luke Barker Magee had all fronts covered as he fished with his cousin Jimmy and uncle who were visiting from Pennsylvania.
Chicken legs were tied to string attached to the dock waiting for the crabs to bite, and the boys were going after snappers, with minnows, to catch more bait for the crabs. By 10 a.m., their bucket was already filling up with crabs and Luke was reeling in the snappers.
