Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco will be hosting the annual Sheriff’s Open House and Family Day featuring K-9 demonstrations, jail tours (ages 12 and up), law enforcement presentations, Amber Alert Child ID Cards, exciting Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team demonstrations, a blood drive, balloon art for the kids, Sheriff’s Senior Medical ID Cards and more! There will be something of interest for all ages.

When: Sunday, October 7th from 10 am – 3 pm

Why you should attend: This is a unique opportunity for people of all ages to learn about the county jail and law enforcement in Suffolk County.  There will be tours, presentations and demonstrations throughout the day.

Where: The parking lot of the Suffolk County Correctional Facility on Rt. 24/Nugent Drive in Riverside.

Directions: The entrance to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility is on Rt. 24 in Riverside.  From the LIE: travel eastbound to exit 71. Make a right at the stop sign onto Rt. 24 and go approximately 4 miles. The correctional facility will be on the right. From Sunrise Highway:  travel eastbound to exit 61. Follow the signs to County Rd 51- Riverhead.  Go past the county complex. Make a left onto Rt. 24.  Go approximately 1/8 mile and watch for the Correctional Facility on the left.
