For the past four years, Chef Marco Barrila has teamed up with Citizens 4 Humanity to cook complete holiday meals for single mom families in need. Local chefs and volunteers cook, package and deliver meals directly to families houses, so that they might have a nice holiday experience.
This year, Chef Marco's organization was designated as 1st Response Unit for the Red Cross. There are long lists of families in crisis that would greatly benefit from receiving one of the holiday meals.
Donations to purchase food directly determines how many families will receive a meal. This year, the goal is to feed more than 300 families in different areas on Long Island. With 4-6 average members per family at $10/p, the goal is to collect $15,000 for this holiday mission.
