Girl Scout Offices Serve as Drop-Off Points for Hurricane Disaster Relief

The following was posted by the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County.

In the wake of the devastation left by Hurricane Sandy, and in an effort to help our neighbors in need, Girl Scouts of Suffolk County will serve as a drop-off point for non-perishable food items, baby items, (diapers, formula and
wipes), toiletries, and blankets.

Additionally, local residents without electricity can stop in and warm up, enjoy some hot beverages and refreshments, and charge their electronic devices at the Commack Main Office location.

“Serving others and helping those in need are hallmarks of Girl Scouting,” says Yvonne Grant, President & CEO of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. “Our thoughts are with all of the victims affected so deeply by Hurricane Sandy.”

P. Killian, Thanks for asking. We just reached out to State police. They are doing seatbelt checks.
