EAST END HOSPICE RESCHEDULES OPEN HOUSE TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF THE GOOD GRIEF FAMILY BEREAVEMENT CENTER FOR SUNDAY, DEC. 2, 3-5pm
When tragedy claims the life of a loved one, families often need help finding a way to heal. East End Hospice is pleased to announce the opening of their newest endeavor, “The Good Grief Family Bereavement Center” Located at 195 Mill Road in Westhampton Beach, the center which will provide nurturing support for grieving children, teens, young adults and their families. The pubic is invited to an open house of the center on Sunday, December 2 from 3-5pm.
Funded through donations and operated by not-for-profit East End Hospice is the only ongoing grief support group program on the East End that focuses on children and families. The Good Grief Family Bereavement Center services are open to all families in our community and are not dependent on having had a family member on East End Hospice.
The age-specific grief support groups serve children ages 4-17 and their parent or guardian. Children are supported through developmentally appropriate activities including art, play and journaling. Adults attend their own support groups, where they learn how to help children and teens process grief in a healthy manner while learning how to cope with loss
This center is an expansion of East End Hospice’s bereavement services which have been helping grieving adults, children and families since 1991. The East End Hospice bereavement care team leads bereavement support groups on the North and South Forks, at schools, provide educational workshops for the community, and conduct comprehensive training for grief support facilitation.
Our support groups, educational programs and counseling services are available to all members of the community. We do not charge a fee for our services
