'Love is in the Air' This Valentine's Day!

We've put together an adorable Valentine's inspired post from a recent photo shoot we did at Sweet Petite Soirees!

One of our favorite holidays to celebrate is Valentine’s Day. What better way than with a simple and sweet party between special friends?

For our little guests, we put together a candy buffet with all their favorite sweets. Rock candy swizzles, milk chocolate hearts, red Sixlets and aqua gum balls graced the table.  Party favor boxes were on hand so each guest could pick their favorite treats and safely keep them to enjoy later.  The cupcake favor boxes we found from Meri Meri (www.merimeri.com), added a sweet touch.  We just loved the bake shoppe design with the sweetest pink and white awning!

A special “LOVE” banner from Sara at The Homespun Hostess on Etsy was the inspiration for this little party shoot.  We chose a traditional color palette, but added some contemporary flair with aqua and pink.

One of our favorite elements had to be the free printable chalkboard tags from The Latest Find (www.thelatestfind.com).   We added some colorful layers behind each tag to coordinate them with our color scheme.

We couldn’t resist these red and white chevron favor boxes from Pick Your Plum (www.pickyourplum.com).   Filled with crayons, drawing pads and bubbles from our local Target store, they were the perfect ‘take home’ favor for each guest.

When putting together your own little celebration, remember that a party doesn’t have to be large to be fun.  Whether you decorate the breakfast table or another special spot in your home, it’s the perfect way to show your own little petites that “Love is in the Air!”
