Hamptons Film Festival Starts Thursday

— The Hamptons International Film Festival starts today. Films are shown throughout the South Fork, from Montauk's Movie Theater to the Parish Art Museum in Water Mill. The opening night films are "Kill Your Darlings" and "About Time." The box office is located at QF Gallery at 98 Newtown Lane, across from Wittendale's in East Hampton.

— The Town of Southampton is moving forward on a plan to use Community Preservation funds to possibly purchase Neptune Beach Club on Dune Road for $3.2 million. Tell us how you feel about it.

— Coming up tomorrow, join East End Advocates for Women's Health for a coffeehouse evening of The Birth Monologues at the Parrish Memorial Hall on the grounds of Southampton Hospital at 7 p.m. Share your story with the women of this community to celebrate National Midwifery Week. Free admission.

— Also tomorrow, the Good Ground Antique Sale kicks on Main Street in Hampton Bays. Everything in the shop is 20 percent off.
