This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Lori, a 2-year-old Tortoiseshell cat with a wonderful personality.

According to Donald Bambrick, the animal shelter supervisor, Lori was brought into the shelter in December after being found roaming the streets of Southampton.

"She had a microchip we were able to trace to someone in Baiting Hollow. We tried contacting her previous owner to no avail so now Lori is available for adoption. Their loss is our gain since Lori is a sweet, loving cat who gets along with other cats and dogs too, and will make someone an excellent companion," Bambrick said.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
