Report: East Quogue Man Pleads Guilty in Fraud Case

Peter Pinto, 37, of East Quogue and his father and have pleaded guilty to stealing close to $10 million through their debt collection company, according to an article published on Newsday.com.

Newsday reports that Pinto and his father, Richard Pinto of Wellington, Fla., pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and one count of wire fraud before U.S. District Judge Stefan Underhill in Bridgeport, Conn.

The father and son are due back in court on September 13 for sentencing.
