On Jan. 3 at 9:44 p.m. Quogue Police charged Erin Hayes, 21 of Ridge, for driving under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor. Quogue Police say they stopped Hayes on on Montauk Highway after they witnessed her driving on shoulder and following a fellow motorist too closely.

Also this week, Quogue Police arrested Alex White, 39, Mastic Beach, on an outstanding warrant from the Southampton Police Department. White, police said, was pulled over on Jan. 5 at 5:36 p.m. for having a headlight out. Police charged his with four counts of unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and for having a suspended registration. He was turned over to Southampton Police on for the warrent charge.
