K-9 Unit Finds Wanted Riverhead Man Hiding In Hampton Bays Home
Robert Dozier, 28, was charged with a Felony criminal contempt charge.
The Suffolk County Sheriff's K-9 Unit helped Southampton Police arrest a 28-year-old wanted Riverhead man on Jan. 2.
According to Southampton Police, detectives spotted Robert. J Dozier, who has been wanted for criminal contempt charges, entering a home on Canal Court in Hampton Bays. Police say Dozier attempted to evade police, but canines were able to locate him hiding under funiture in the house.
Police charged Dozier with felony criminal contempt, on a Riverhead Police Department warrent, a NYS Division of Parole arrest warrant, and for assault and resisting arrest.
Dozier was arraigned in Southampton Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in Riverside.
