Cabin Fever Music Festival Kicks-Off at Casey's

The popular winter music festival will run through February.

Helping to bring some life to the area's bar scene, four locals have again organized a Cabin Fever Music Festival, which kick's off at 10 p.m. at Casey's in Westhampton.

The festival, now in its fifth year, has teamed up with six area bars to provide venues for more than 20 bands from all over Long Island, and even Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

Brendon Henry, one of the event's organizers, says the acts are all unsigned and it is the goal of Cabin Fever to both spotlight "talented artists, independent merchants and local restaurant/bars."

New this year will be two new venues, and Casey's and Henry said that Cabin Fever organizers are working to get local artists involved by showing some of their works at shows.
